It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that I announce the upcoming departure of our esteemed Artistic Director, Jonathan Crow, effective September 1, 2025. Since 2017, Jonathan has led Toronto Summer Music with unparalleled creativity, dedication, and passion, playing a pivotal role in our growth and success over the past eight Festivals. We are fortunate that Jonathan will continue as Artistic Director through the 2025 – 20th Anniversary Festival, ensuring a remarkable season as we celebrate this milestone.
Jonathan has been instrumental in shaping our artistic vision and delivering countless unforgettable performances to our community. We are profoundly grateful for his leadership and the indelible mark he will leave on our organization. While we will greatly miss his presence, we fully support his decision to explore new opportunities and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
As we embark on the search for our next Artistic Director, we invite qualified and passionate candidates to apply for this crucial role. Call for Applications
Toronto Summer Music, a premier classical music festival, announces the search for a new Artistic Director (see job description). This pivotal role will guide the organization’s artistic direction, shaping its future while honouring its rich legacy of bringing world-renowned performers to Toronto for an unparalleled array of concerts, programs, and events. The Artistic Director will be responsible for setting the artistic vision, curating and overseeing programming, and engaging with the community to ensure that TSM continues to thrive as a cultural beacon. The ideal candidate will have a profound passion for classical music, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, a dedication to engaging with, and mentoring emerging musicians, and a proven track record of leadership in the arts.
