Applications for the 2026 Art of Song Program are NOW OPEN! Art of Song is devoted to the study and performance of art song, text, and diction. Applications are due Friday, January 30th at 11:59 PM.

The program:
- runs from July 6 - 18, 2026 (two weeks);
- is designed for an intimate group of eight singers and four pianists;
- enables all Art of Song Fellows to study with voice and piano faculty members.

Applications for the 2026 Chamber Music Institute are NOW OPEN! The Chamber Music Institute welcomes string players and pianists for intensive coaching sessions, rehearsals, and performances. Applications are due Friday, January 30th at 11:59 PM.

The program:
- runs from July 6 - August 1, 2026 (four weeks);
- encourages applicants to apply as individuals or as pre-formed ensembles;
- places Fellows in chamber groups with at least one faculty mentor per group.

Since stepping into my role as Artistic Director, I’ve been deeply inspired by the energy, imagination, and generosity that define Toronto Summer Music. It’s been a joy to meet our remarkable community of artists, audiences, and supporters — and to begin shaping the next chapter of our Canadian flagship summer festival.

The 2026 Festival will celebrate connection, creativity, and curiosity — bringing together extraordinary musicians from across Canada and around the world. Expect collaborations that surprise, programmes that illuminate, and performances that remind us why live music continues to matter so profoundly in our lives.

At TSM, artistry, mentorship, and community are inseparable. The 2026 Festival will continue to bring world-class artists together with the next generation of talent, while welcoming audiences of all ages to share in the music that unites us. Whether you’ve been part of TSM for twenty years or are discovering us for the first time, I am excited for us all to experience what’s ahead.
