Vitali: Chaconne in G minor
Gluck: “Mélodie” from Orfeo ed Euridice
John Corigliano: The Red Violin Caprices
Franck: Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano

A celebration of one of the most iconic voices in violin history, featuring Timothy Chooi performing on the legendary 1714 “Dolphin” Stradivarius, famously played by Jascha Heifetz, alongside the incomparable Jon Kimura Parker. From the electrifying drama of the Vitali Chaconne and the elegance of Gluck’s Mélodie, to the high-wire brilliance of Corigliano’s Red Violin Caprices, the first half captures the fire, precision, and charisma that defined the Heifetz legacy. After intermission, Franck’s timeless Sonata brings the evening to its emotional summit.
