French-Italian soprano Tanaquil Ollivier began studying music and dance in early childhood, before training in classical voice with Sophie Fournier. She recently completed her Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien in vocal performance at Pôle Sup 93, as well as baroque vocal studies in the Early Music program at the CRR de Paris. She was soon invited to perform French and Italian baroque repertoire at various festivals, including Roya, Souvigny, Valenciennes, and San Vito al Tagliamento in Italy, where she was awarded the Grand Prix Ilma Estate in 2023 by conductor Federico Sardelli. She regularly collaborates with ensembles and companies such as Les Épopées, Le Palais Royal, andLe Concert Spirituel. This year, she made her debut as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) with the Opéra Éclaté company. She also performs the title role in Graun’s Britannico at the Festival de Sarrebourg and at Port-Royal des Champs with the Cavroarts company. A laureate of the 12th edition of Le Jardin des Voix, the academy of Les Arts Florissants, she sings the role of Oenone in Charpentier’s La Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers under the baton of William Christie, with performances at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, and on tour. In April, she will perform the roles of Proserpine and the Ninfa in Jacopo Peri’s Euridice, in a production by Les Épopéesunder the direction of Stéphane Fuget. The opera will be recorded at the Château de Versailles.
