Hometown: Salt Lake City, Utah 

Sydney Pexton is a soprano from Salt Lake City, Utah who has performed in various operas and concerts with New England Conservatory and Utah Valley University, including L’incoronazione di PoppeaDie Fledermaus, and Les Contes d’Hoffmann. She recently graduated with her Master of Music in Opera Performance from New England Conservatory. While at NEC, she sang Elaine in Later the Same Evening and covered the role of Despina in Così fan tutte. She attended the Oxenfoord International Summer School where she received the Hester Dickson prize.  She has been a New Music Fellow at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, premiering eight works and has been featured on various concerts as part of NEC’s Liederabend series. Sydney was an Art of Song Fellow at the Toronto Summer Music Festival last year and is excited to be returning this summer!
