Lucía started her musical studies of violin and singing in Valladolid, and later obtained a degree in vocal studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo de Valencia. She also holds a “Máster en la Interpretación de la Música Antigua” en la “Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya” (Barcelona).
She won First Prize of the 6th Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition: Ancient and Baroque Repertoire in 2015.
She has performed at Palau de la Música de Valencia, Auditori de Barcelona, Chateau de Versailles, Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, Teatro Calderón de Valladolid, Capilla de la Sapiencia de la Universidad de Valencia, Festival Internacional de Música Antigua de Peñíscola, Auditori de Castellón, Kulturkirche St. Stephani of Bremen, Museu de la Música de Barcelona, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Innsbruck Festival, Philarmonie de Paris, Conertgebouw of Amserdam, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Hong Kong City Hall, Barbican Center of London, Teatro Colòn of Buenos Aires, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, Festival Oude Muziek of Utrecht, Festival d’Ambronay, Festival Castel de Peralada, and Festival International of Beaune.
She works with many Early Music ensembles giving many concerts with programs of the Spanish, Spanish-American, and Italian Renaissance and Baroque, such as Choeur de Chambre de Namur, Cappella Mediterranea, Laberintos Ingeniosos, Victoria Musicae, La Grande Chapelle, La Capella Reale de Catalunya, Le Concert des nations, and with conductors such as Leonardo García-Alarcón, Xavier Díaz-Latorre, Josep R. Gil-Tárrega, Albert Recasens, and Jordi Savall. She has participated in the III Academia de Formación Profesional, Investigación e Interpretación, belonging of the Fundación CIMA, conducted by Jordi Savall.
In operatic repertoire, she has performed the role of Amore in Orfeo et Euridice by Gluck, Pamina’s role in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart, and Venus’s role in Venus and Adonis by Blow.
Her recent performances, in 2015 and 2016, included a tour in Holland with Musica Temprana; the role of Siringa in Sebastian Duron’s El imposible mayor en amor le vence Amor; a production in the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid under the conduction of Leonardo García-Alarcón and Gustavo Tambascio; and the role of Novia in La Guerra de Los gigantes under the same direction and the same theater.
In May 2016, Lucia performed at the Klangvokal Musikfestival in Nabucco by Falvetti with Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo García-Alarcón, with Concerto Scirocco in Strasbourg, and then, in June, in Maguelone with Cappella Mediterranea, Capella Reale de Catalunya, and Le Concert des Nations (Jordi Savall) in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen.
Recently, she was invited by Les Ambassadeurs and Alexis Kossenko for the Bach Biennale Weimar and participated with Les Talens Lyriques in projects of the Fondation Royamount. Other concerts included La Grand Chapelle (Albert Recasens) in Guadalajara, with Gli Angeli (Stephan Macleod) in Utrecht, in Turin and Milan with Ghislieri Consort (Giulio Prandi), and in Genève and Ambronay with Leonardo García-Alarcón for Carmina Latina.
In 2016, Lucia was on tour in Asia, Tokyo, Seoul, Shangai, and Macao with Les Arts Florissants under the direction of William Christie.
Additionally, Lucia has sung the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni under the direction of Simone Toni in Milan and Florence, and soloist of Handel’s Messiah with the Orchestra Ciudad de Granada (Lluis Vilamajo) at the Auditorio de Falla.
In 2017, Lucia performed again as soloist of Handel’s Messiah during an Australian tour, in Sydney and Melbourne, with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra conducted by Paul Dyer.
In spring of 2017, Lucia sang at the Opera of Dijon, Opera of Lille, DeSingel in Anvers, and at the Concertegebow of Amsterdam with Cappella Mediterranea for Falvetti’s Nabucco. In summer, in Beaune, she performed in Lully’s Alceste (Femme affligée, Nymphe des Tuilierie, Nymphe de la Seine), with Les Talents Lyriques under the baton of Christophe Rousset, and later on, in the same production at the Opera of Versailles; in Orfeo with J. Savall (Euridice and Musica), with Le Concert des Nations in Leipzig at the Gewandhaus, and at Grand Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona again with J. Savall; all before singing an American tour with Cappella Mediterranea and Chœur de Namur in autumn, and a European tour of Monteverdi’s La Selva Morale with Les Arts Florissants under the direction of William Christie.
Recent engagements are concerts with l’Arpeggiata and C. Pluhar (Gdansk, Seville), and El Prometeo (Aracne) with Draghi at the Opera of Dijon under the direction of Leonardo García-Alarcón, Gustavo Tambascio, and Laurent Delvert.
In 2018, Lucia was invited to Salzburg Festspiele, Festival Styriarte Austria, Fontfroide, and to Arc et Senans, Philharmonie of Paris, Barcelona, and Verona, for the role of Abra in Juditha Triumphans with J. Savall; to Festival de Santander as Galatea (Aci e Galatea); to Festival Castell de Peralada, Ingolstadt, Daroca, Poblet, Philharmonie de Paris, Barcelona, Verona, Palacio de Queluz Portugal, Sevilla, Opera of Lille, and l’Orchestra Barroca Catalan for Handel’s Messiah in Albacete, Zaragoza, and Madrid; and for the role of Cassiope in the opera Perseo by Joao de Sousa, in Lisbone with Divino Sospiro.
Lucia toured New York in 2019 for Monteverdi with J. Savall, and a Mozart program (Konstanze) with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Seville under the direction of John Axelrod.
In 2019, she was in Luxemburg and Gand for the role of Tiempo in Los Elementos by Lliteres, and in Stradella’s Susanna at the Kennedy Centre in Washington, and in New York. She then performed in London, Rotterdam, and completed a tour of Latin America with Cappella Mediterranea.
In 2020, Lucia performed as Amore and Valletto in Incoronazione di Poppea at Théâtre of Champs-Elysées under the baton of Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques. She also performed as Ninfa in Orfeo at the Reisopera in Netherland under H. Schvartzman and M. Wagemakers. In 2021, she took on the role of Olimpia/Eco in Rossi’s Palazzo Incantato in Dijon, Versailles, and Nancy.
She played Morgana in Handel’s Alcina at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in October 2022, next to Cecilia Bartoli.
In 2023, she performed as Teofane in Handel’s Ottone in Karlsruhe, for the 45th International Handel Festival. She also performed at the Château de Versailles in Handel’s opera Poro, re dell’Indie with the ensemble Il Groviglio, under the direction of Marco Angioloni. Lucía was also Amour in Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice, performed at the Salzburger Festspiele in May 2023, directed by K. Yamada and J. Neumeier.
In 2024, Lucía is Morgana in Alcina in Seville, Teofane in Ottone in Karlsruhe; Amore in Orfeo and Euridice in Enschede; Amore e il primo prigioniero in Medea at Teatro Reale de Madrid; and in 2025, L’Amore e Il valletto in L’incoronazione di Poppea at the Nederlandse Reisopera.
She has recorded for Brilliant and Alia Vox et Ricercar, to mention a few, and for Radio France, Radio Catalunya Música, and Musiq’3 in Belgium.
