Lizzie Bett Estrada is a young classical soprano from the Philippines. She was a prize winner for several vocal competitions, including First Prize in the Kathleen Ferrier Bursary for Young Singers Competition in 2023, First Prize in the National Music Competition for Young Artists in 2020 – Junior Voice Category, and Second Prize in the Odin International Competition in 2021. Recently, she was awarded Third Prize at the Royal Academy of Music’s Schumann Lieder Prize. She is one of the finalists of the Basel International Song / Lieder Vocal Competition in Tokyo, Japan, which will be held in April.
Lizzie, alongside her duo partner, Thomas Scott, is a part of the 2025 Young Artists Programme of Leeds Lieder Festival, where they were able to perform in recitals and masterclasses with well-known singers such as Elly Ameling. Her performing experiences include solo lunchtime concerts and song recitals around the UK at venues such as St. James’s Church Piccadilly, Halifax Philharmonic Club, St. Clement Danes Church RAF, and St. Michael’s Church, Sittingbourne. Lizzie has sung a few times as a soprano soloist at the United Reformed Church, Caterham, performing works like Haydn’s Nelson Mass and Fauré’s Requiem. She has participated in masterclasses with Susan Manoff, Hartmut Höll, and Prof. Thomas Steinhöfel.
Lizzie is generously supported by the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Rustan’s Corporation. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Honours) – Vocal Studies on a full scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London under Professor Susan Waters and Chad Vindin.
