Kyra Millan


Kyra Millan is a multifaceted voice coach, educator, and opera comedienne. For the past three decades,  she has dedicated herself to nurturing and empowering voices, whether through private teaching, directing arts organizations, or founding the acclaimed youth musical theatre program “Gleesical.” Kyra’s journey in education began with the Canadian Opera Company, where she created workshops and interactive comedy shows for families, and served as musical director for their “Summer Youth Intensive” program. From 2020 to 2021, she led as interim Artistic Director for the Canadian Children’s Opera Company. Kyra’s expertise extends to conducting workshops and training for the Royal Conservatory of Music, Opera Atelier, CAMH (Workman Arts) and Abilities Arts.   A sought-after singing adjudicator, she has presided over competitions at both local and provincial levels. 

As one-half of the comedy duo “Millan & Faye,” Kyra has performed  throughout Ontario, including at The Four Seasons Centre, the Elora Festival, and Chamberfest. She looks forward to performing in this year’s Toronto Summer Music Festival, and Xenia concerts. She also finds great fulfillment in teaching singing at her Toronto home studio.
