Current and future engagements of British bass-baritone Edward Grint include Abner in Handel’s Athalia (Halle Händelfestspiele); Jesus/Bass arias in Royal Odes and Matthäus-Passion (Banquet Celeste); Mozart’s Mass in C minor (Scottish Chamber Orchestra); Bach concerts (Netherlands Bach Society and Rene Jacobs); Ratcliffe in Billy Budd (Enescu Festival Bucharest); King Arthur (Early Opera Company); his debut with The English Concert and Harry Bickett at Wigmore Hall; tours with Les Arts Florissants including Gesualdo Madrigals, Bach Cantatas, and Carissimi Cantatas; concerts with Collegium Vocale Gent and Irish Baroque Orchestra; Handel’s Messiah (London Handel Festival); and with The King’s Consort.

Past concert projects have included concerts with Les Arts Florissants on tour; Acis & Galatea and Acteon with Early Opera Company; Messiah with Irish Baroque Orchestra and The Hanover Band; a programme of Baroque music at Wigmore Hall for La Nuova Musica; Missa Solemnis with Oxford Bach Choir; St. John Passion with Les Musiciens du Louvre in Gdansk and Aix-en-Provence; and Jupiter in Castor et Pollux with Early Opera Company at Opéra de Tours.

Important past operatic engagements have included Was frag ich nach der Welt; a staged production of Bach Cantatas for the Schwetzingen Winter Festival; Polyphemus in Acis & Galatea with Opéra de Avignon; Arcas in Iphigenie en Aulide with Theater an der Wien; Adonis in Venus and Adonis; Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas with Innsbruck Festival; Peter in The Last Supper with BBC Symphony Orchestra; Eddy in Greek for the Tongyeong Festival; Father Akita in Neige by Catherine Kontz with Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg; and Teobaldo in Faramondo by Handel at Göttngen Händel Festival.

Edward Grint is a sought-after concert performer of the baroque repertoire and works with leading orchestras and ensembles such as The King’s Consort, London Mozart Players, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Royal Choral Society, City of London Choir, Gabrieli Consort, and Dunedin Consort. Venues have included Salzburger Festspiele, Cadogan Hall, Buxton Festival, and Three Choirs Festival.

Edward studied at King’s College, Cambridge, and the Royal College of Music. He is a prizewinner of the Cesti Competition and the London Handel Competition.
