Cassia Drake recently graduated with a Master of Musical Arts from the Yale School of Music under Ettore Causa. Prior to this, she completed both a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music at the Colburn Conservatory, studying with Paul Coletti, Yura Lee, and Ben Ullery. As an avid chamber musician, she has participated in a variety of festivals and programs, collaborating with musicians from the Tokyo, Emerson, and Aviv String Quartets. As a soloist, Ms. Drake has appeared with ensembles such as the Colburn Orchestra, Artis-Naples Philharmonic, and the Sarasota Music Festival Orchestra. In her spare time, she enjoys reading fiction and exploring new hobbies, such as pottery and frisbee. Ms. Drake plays on an Adolphus Mönnig viola from 1872, a generous loan from Bernard Friedland.
