Twenty-two-year-old cellist Joshua McClendon is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at The Juilliard School under Timothy Eddy, where he is rapidly establishing himself as one of today’s preeminent young artists. Joshua began his cello studies at the age of eight under the tutelage of Detroit Symphony Orchestra cellist, Paul Wingert. Since then, he has attended the Meadowmount School of Music, Aspen Music Festival and School, and Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival. Joshua is a founding member of the Isidore String Quartet. Formed at Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival in 2021, the Isidore is rapidly gaining recognition throughout the United States and Europe, taking the first prize and Haydn prize at the 14th Banff International String Quartet Competition. A member of Juilliard’s Honors Chamber Music Program, they are regularly mentored by Roger Tapping, Laurie Smukler, Joseph Lin, and Joel Krosnick.
