Jeremy Klein is currently studying at the Juilliard School, where he is pursuing his Master of Music degree as a student of Misha Amory and Heidi Castleman. Jeremy has previously completed his Bachelor of Music degree at Juilliard. He previously studied with Mark Lakirovich at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. Jeremy has attended music festivals including Aspen, Bad Leonfelden, Bowdoin, Norfolk, Rome, Sarasota, Toronto, and Vivace. At Juilliard, Jeremy has performed as part of Juilliard Chamberfest and has given performances with the Juilliard Orchestra, Juilliard Lab Orchestra, Axiom, and New Juilliard Ensemble, including several performances as principal and assistant principal viola. He has received important coaching and mentoring from Victoria Chiang, James Dunham, Hsin-Yun Huang, Thomas Riebl, Steven Tenenbom, and Phillip Ying, among others. Among the esteemed musicians with whom Jeremy has collaborated are Melvin Chen, Valentina Ciardelli, Elena Matteucci, Frank Morelli, Tai Murray, and Guglielmo Pellarin.
He has performed concertos by Bartók and Telemann with orchestras in Italy and Ukraine, and has performed as an orchestral musician with ensembles including the Apex Ensemble, BecomEnsemble, and Florida Orchestra. Passionate about new music, Jeremy has premiered solo and chamber pieces by Christian-Frédéric Bloquert, Valentina Ciardelli, Hannah Ishizaki, Katie Jenkins, Foo Jeng Wong, and others. He has also performed and recorded in other genres, including Jewish music and film soundtracks. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with his family, friends, and larger-than-appropriate dog.
