Hannah Shikatani is a recent graduate of Ryerson University’s Performance Dance program where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. There, she studied various styles and worked with many esteemed artists such as Peter Chin, Vicki St. Denys, Alysa Pires and Anne Plamondon.
Hannah has performed Anne’s work in the Fall for Dance North 2019 program, as well as Alysa Pires’ work at Dance Ontario. Outside of academia, Hannah has had the chance to study with Frog In Hand’s director, Colleen Snell, as a summer company apprentice and performed, The Fall, at the Toronto Fringe Festival, she has performed the work of Gadfly in Whitehorse, Yukon, and at DanceWorks TO.
Recently she participated in a residency at the Centro Coreográfico Maria Pagés with the Metamorphosis method in Spain. Hannah looks forward to expanding her artistry even further and hopes to explore her creative endeavours in other parts of the world.
