Allison Rich is currently a DMA candidate at the University of Toronto studying Cello Performance with Joseph Johnson. Prior to moving to Toronto, Allison was a member of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Other orchestral experience includes performances with the symphonies of Toronto, Rochester, Buffalo, and the Canadian Opera Company.
Allison has a special interest in performing contemporary chamber music and enjoys collaborating with her colleagues and friends as often as possible. She is currently a member of GamUT at the University of Toronto, and at the University of Michigan she was a member of the Contemporary Directions Ensemble, a graduate chamber ensemble dedicated to the performance of new music.
Most recently, Allison was a performer in Continuum Contemporary Music’s HATCH Mentorship program.
